FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Here you'll find most of the answers to questions regarding ordering, returns and other general enquiries:-

Q) How do I go about ordering from you?

A) Browse through my Old Games & Consoles section, and when you see something you want simply click the 'Add to Basket' button. This will add your item to a 'virtual shopping basket'. When you are done browsing, you can view your shopping basket  and if necessary delete any items you have changed your mind about. Once you have everything you want, you proceed to the checkout and fill in the form with all your details. Click send, and your order will be whisked off to my mailbox. I will E-Mail you back confirming the items you have asked for are in stock, and I will give a total price including delivery, and will also provide my address for payment purposes.

Q) How do I go about paying for my items?

A) You can pay by cash (please send recorded delivery), cheque, postal order. Personal cheques and postal orders should be made out to 'Andy Brown'. Details of where to send payment will be given with your order confirmation.

Debit & Credit Cards are accepted through www.paypal.co.uk. The Paypal account is andy@consolepassion.co.uk. 

Q) How much will postage be?

A) Postage will vary from item to item, but as a rough guide, consoles and other heavy bulky items will be £9.00 and games will be £2.00. Obviously ordering a number of games will result in reduced postage, and any games ordered in addition to a console will come postage free.

Q) How long will my items take to arrive?

A) This will depend on the payment method, and what items you have ordered. If you order a single game and send payment by cash, postal order or Paypal the game will be posted on either the same day the payment arrives or the  next working day. Items paid for by cheque will not be dispatched until the cheque has cleared. Consoles or other bulky items will be send by Royal Mail Parcels. These items can take up to fourteen working days to be delivered, but usually only take a few days. Parcel delivery can be upgraded to next day delivery, but at the expense of the customer. Modified consoles are done to order and can take a few days extra. We will mail you once your modded console is dispatched.

Q) I am an international buyer, is this a problem?

A) No, but obviously payment methods and postage charges will be different. I currently accept the following international payments: Western Union, an International Money Order in Sterling, US Dollars and Euros. Please contact me beforehand for the exchange rate, but as a rough guide $1.00 is £0.55, and €1.00 is £0.65. Package and postage will again depend on your country and the weight of the goods. Please note that some countries charge import tax and other sundry fee's. Console Passion are not responsible for paying any of these - please contact your own countries postal service for further information on receiving goods from overseas. 

Q) I am an American customer, can I buy from you?

A) Yes, but remember many PAL games may not work on US consoles without the appropriate converters and we don't give refund for games bought in error.

Q) My items have arrived and are damaged or faulty. What do I do?

A) All items sold by Console Passion are tested thoroughly before being dispatched, but in the unlikely event of something arriving faulty, the item may be returned for a full refund.

Q) I have seen an item cheaper somewhere else, why is this?

A) I try to keep my prices as low as possible, and I genuinely think I am one of the cheapest retro gaming shops on the Internet. However I cannot guarantee that everything I sell will be the cheapest price. Please remember my website is different because unless stated, all the games I sell are in very good condition, boxed with all instructions, maps & original packaging! You may find an item cheaper, but I think you'd be hard pressed to find any items in as good condition cheaper!!

Q) I want a particular item but you do not have it on your website. Can you get hold of it?

A) I get new stock in all the time, and while I try to put everything on the website as soon as possible, sometimes I haven't had chance to update it yet. The best thing is to ask - if I do not have it in stock, chances are I can get hold of it for you anyway!

Q) I want to play an imported game on my console, what do I need to do?

A) Some imported games will play on UK consoles without the need for any converter, so will require import adapters, other will require Console Modifications. If in doubt it is best to ask - we don't give refunds for games bought it error!

Q) I want to play an imported console in my home country - is this possible?

A) Yes, but there may be some limitations. Firstly, there may be voltage differences between the import console and your home country. You may need an alternative power supply or a stepdown converter. If you are a European / Australian customer and buying a UK console, the plug type will be different and you will need to replace it with a plug type from your own country. Secondly, check that your TV will accept the display type. In the UK and Europe we use PAL, in North America & Japan NTSC is the output type. Please check your TV will play the appropriate signal. We do not provide refunds for consoles bought in error!

Q) How do I know that my details are safe with you?

A) Console Passion assures all buyers that their details will be held in the strictest confidence. We will not pass your E-Mail address or any other information onto any third parties.

Q) What games do you stock?

A) Console Passion stocks many games, including Super Nintendo Games, Nintendo NES Games, Sega Saturn Games, Sega Master System Games and imports such as Sega Saturn Imports. Check out the Old Games & Consoles section for more details!
