Website Temporary Closed

Hello everyone. We are moving to a new, bigger premises so website ordering will be closed for the next month while we move everything to our new building, reorganise and do a full stock take. We will not be taking any orders or able to reply to any messages during this time. We will be open again at the start of December. Many thanks. Console Passion

About Us

We are a UK based supplier of used retro games & classic video games consoles. The store was established in 2001 and has grown from a small operation to probably the UK's most popular retro console games retailer. I have built it up from a few games sold every week on eBay, to this website which ships hundreds of orders worldwide each month. The site is run by myself (Andy Brown) and my wife Helena, along with a little help from our friends and family along the way!

The store stocks boxed complete video games from the early 1970's Atari 2600 to more recent Sony Playstation and Dreamcast consoles. We have a large selection of imported Japanese titles and also sell handheld games such and the Nintendo Game & Watch. In addition to video games we also have arcade boards for full sized arcade cabinets for sale.

We have sponsored many of the recent retro shows – the CGE-UK, Retro Ball, Retrovision & Retro North - and we sponsor the Retro Survival and Retro Revival magazines. We have extensive worldwide connections and are easily capable of sourcing any game or console we don't currently hold in stock.

We have experienced technicians who can perform repairs and legal modifications on consoles to allow imported games to be played without the need for an adapter. All modifications we perform come with a three month warranty and are performed to the highest standards.

As well as running the games store, I have written for many video games magazines and was involved with the launch of the 'Retro Fusion' magazine. I have been asked to help with research for several published books, done TV, radio & magazine interviews and even co-presented a documentary on retro gaming. In 2008 I did a two week exhibition for the BBC on retro games, and in 2009 I assisted the Urbis exhibition centre in Manchester to launch their retro exhibition, the biggest exhibition the centre had done to date.

A number of people will be asking themselves, why bother - there are so many emulators available for PC's these days so why spend so much money? Well, don't worry I'm not going to start lecturing about the morals of emulators, the simple answer is there is nothing like the real thing! Owning a mint copy of Chrono Trigger and carefully unfolding the map to play the game beats emulation any day!

Any suggestions for this site are greatly welcomed - any feedback would be very much appreciated. The site has been re-launched in 2011 and has many new features such as site membership, online order tracking, fully automated checkout and more. I do hope I help you to find that one game you have been after for years, and if you do and you are happy with my service, please recommend me to any other retro fans you know.
