Modification Neo Geo CD

There are two modifications and enhancements we can perform on the Neo Geo CD console. We can add the 50Hz/60Hz switch and add the three way language switch. Addition of PAL/NTSC Switch - £15 UK plus return postage

In a similar way to most other consoles we can add a PAL/NTSC switch to the Neo Geo CD. This changes the video output mode between PAL 50Hz and NTSC 60Hz. UK consoles run in PAL 50Hz mode as standard so they run 20% slower than US or Japanese machines and have those horrible black borders at the top and the bottom of the screen. Your TV must be able to run a 60hz NTSC signal for this to work correctly in NTSC mode. This modification is useful if you want to run a Japanese or US Neo Geo through an older TV that does not play a NTSC signal as you can run your console in PAL mode.
 

Addition of Region Switch - £15 UK plus return postage

Just like the Sega Saturn, we can add a region switch to the back of your Neo Geo CD to switch between the regions - Japan, USA and UK. While all Neo Geo CD games work on all consoles, many games have different features depending on what the region is set to. Title screens may appear different or characters may have different names. Most fighting games when played in USA or UK setting are censored - there is no blood or fatalities, but playing them in Japan mode displays the blood and the fatalities are back in their full gory detail!
